Social Etiquette of Smartphones

.

Hello there,

I am here to share my opinions on the:

Social Etiquette of Smartphones;
Where to draw the line of the use of it.

Smartphones such as Blackberry and Iphone has become a common part in our lives. Anywhere or everywhere you travel, you'll notice lots of people having smartphones (eg. Iphone). It is too commen that nowadays people use it too often and do not know when and where to draw the line of the uses of smartphones.

As we all know, smartphones allows us to do wonderous things; they offer internet connectivity anywhere, real time chat anywhere, fully-fledged navigation and lots of other stuffs. They allow us to be more resourceful than you can ever dream of with your standerd phone; examples: We are able to book movie tickets through our smartphones instead of going down to the cinema to book our tickects, it also allows navigation tools, whenever we lost our way or are unsure of the directions we are heading to, we can always use our smartphone's navigation tools to guide us to our destination.

Smartphones can also be life changing because it is so personal and convenient in terms of how often the device is used or carried and how it is used to connect and extend relationships with others. Nowadays people around us tend to treat Smartphones like a protable PC, whereby, one spends hours on it without realising or knowing when to stop and when is the right time to stop using it. You will notice that a lot of people are playing and fidgeting with their smartphones everywhere (eg. trains, buses, schools, work place etc) .

With the above details on smartphones, where and how can we draw the line? Well its easy, use your smartphones when you really have to, not just because its there. When it comes to work, meetings or school, put your smartphones away because thats not the time where your to use your smartphones but to take the time to concentrate on your work. There may be temptations on using our smartphones but we should all learn to control and draw the line on the uses of smartphones.
Therefore do not let Smartphones change your lives, learn to put it away at the right time! Thank you.:)
